Worried about your weight?

The improvement foundation is about Professionals and Voluntary workers working together to tackle obesity.

I became involved with the Improvement Foundation through the Children's Centre, myself and some other parents felt passionate about this subject and became Community Volunteers.

We all attended a seminar in Manchester about tackling obesity, it really opened our eyes to how much:

*           You will have fun and meet new people locally and across thecountry

*           Learn about obesity and how to help others to have a healthystart in life or have a healthier lifestyle.

*           Develop yourself and other in a challenging environment

*           Experience a life changing opportunity

*           Use you skills and learn and develop new valuable skills

*           Have your say in how local services could be developed

*           Be part of a health promotion programme

*           Increase your confidence gain experience which can help you ifand when looking for a job

*           Free training to support your role as a Community Member on theprogramme

*           Working alongside professionals from health and s social care

*           Help people in your local area.

To find out more about this why not visit our stall in Freeman Street Market this coming Saturday the 7th of November 2009 from 9am until 1pm where our team will be on

hand to talk to you about the issues around obesity
